How the Channel ID Finder resolves a channel

YouTube channels have a stable identifier that normally begins with UC. Handles and custom URLs can change, but the underlying channel ID is used by feeds, API requests, and many integrations. This tool takes the channel reference you provide and attempts to resolve the corresponding public channel record.

Accepted inputs

  • A public YouTube handle such as @channelname.
  • A channel URL containing /channel/UC….
  • A supported custom or legacy channel URL.

How to interpret the result

If the submitted URL already contains /channel/UC…, that value is the channel ID. For a handle or custom URL, TubeRank uses publicly available channel information to resolve the stable ID. Copy the result exactly, including capitalization.

Limits and failure cases

Private, deleted, suspended, misspelled, or newly changed handles may not resolve. API availability and quota can also affect a lookup. A result identifies a public channel record; it does not reveal private analytics, ownership information, or account credentials. See the official YouTube channel resource documentation for the public fields available through the API.
